Nesco FD-80: fit for every range

In recent time, food dehydration has become one such exercise that everybody wants to follow. Removing dampness and keeping the vegetables, fruits and other food items preserve has gone a bit of a routine task. And all thanks to some new food dehydrators available in the market, which are not only easy to purchase but also provide some good practices to follow.

Nesco FD-80 is one of them; needless to say it has started growing its roots in the market of food dehydration. With its compact size and medium range, it is the number one choice (according to food dehydrator reviews) for those who take food dehydration as a serious fad. Some key points that need to be taken care while going for this machine:

  • With the power supply of 700 watts, it provides a top mounted heating fan which blows off the hot air towards the exterior chamber, which in turn opens up at every tray joints allowing the hot air to disperse evenly.
  • They provide you only 4 trays but if you need some more trays, you have the option to increase it to 8 trays. So, you can put your vegetables or fruits in as much quantity as you want.
  • Adjustable thermostat feature is there; which allow you to choose the temperature option depending on the requirements.
  • Bisphenol-A free plastic is used for its trays that reduce the intermixing of chemicals and other plastic contents into the food items.
  • It is very compact in size and can be placed anywhere in the kitchen.
  • Available in the market only for $93.35, which puts it in front of every other comparable food dehydrators of its genre.
  • No availability of On/Off switch and no room for timer options.

With only two drawbacks (that too can be ignored) and loads of constructive features, we would strongly recommend going for it without giving it a second thought.
